Church of the Savior on Blood - Saint-Petersburg.

  • Hi!

    Here is a pano from Saint-Petersburg - Church of the Savior on Blood.

    Its a flat pano. It was made with "MAKE MULTIRES FLAT PANO" droplet. Its ok, but i cant get it to 100% view in the browser.
    Is it possible to zoom out more - to see whole pano at once?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

    the current automatic view limiting always tries to fit the pano inside the screen, so that no "black" areas are visible,

    to make it possible to view the whole image at the moment, the limit range of the view must be defined manually,
    e.g. - first set the image range (hfov/vfov) manually:

    Code
    <image ... hfov="0.9162" vfov="1.4203">

    the values should be small and in the right aspect (here I have just used the image size divided by 1000)

    and then the manual limit range:

    Code
    <view limitview="range"
    vlookatmin="-0.71015"
    vlookatmax="+0.71015"
    hlookatmin="-2"
    hlookatmax="+2"
    fov="10"
    />

    the vlookatmin/vlookatmax values are the half of the image vfov => this limits the vertical view,
    the hlookatmin/hlookatmax values should be larger to allow fitting the screen inside it,

    here is a schematic view:

    and here a link with the changed variables per http-get parameters:

    a easier/automatic way is already planned

    (btw - great pano )

    best regards,
    Klaus

  • Love the pano, great subject, well photographed and edited.

    It looks like subtle HDR treatment, am I right?

    If it is you've got it just right, I hate that overbaked HDR effect that you see so often.

    If it's not HDR then all credit to the photography.

    Thanks.

    Yep, you're right, this is an HDR. from -2 to +2 EV.
    The sky was still to bright to get it not overbrighted. It is possible to get such image without HDR later - not about 9pm but about 11-12pm. Its a white nights here *smile*
    Thanks.
