scrollarea : how to cancel/stop scroll?

Hi,

i'm in the need of a way to stop the scroll of the element controlled by scrollarea plugin.

for example, i want to launch s scrolltocenter(x,y) action, but i want to be able to stop it with a button click.

with no reference for this in the plugin documentation, i tried to call stoptween() on both scrollarea and element layers for y and y, with no luck
