Nope, there is no possibility to protect your XML-Code for HTML5, which I think is by far the biggest problem with krpano for idevices
And no, there is no workaround - at least none I´m aware of. You could encrypt and decrypt the XML before loading it in krpano, but thats far beyond my knowledge and would probably need a real javascript-Professional.
If somebody knows a way to protect the XML for iDevices....
Best regards,
Nupsi
Hi Nupsi,
Thank you very much for your response, very much appreciated.
Best regards,
Manuel
The Encryption-Tool on the Krpano Protect Tool tabs encrypts individual xml files to be used for both desktop and apple devices.
Add files to encrypt, check the Use HTML5/Javascript compatible encryption and Backup original files. Then click Encrypt Now to encrypt the files.
Don't encrypt the js file because it is included in the start-up files.

I am trying to encrypt my virtual tour.
If I have understood right, one can only protect the virtual tour by encrypting the xml file if it should still work on idevecies.
My problem is that after encrypting the xml, it works fine on the desktop, but on my idevices, there are no pictures. The graphics are visible, but not the " tiles".
What is wrong? Please help!
Thanks / erik
Usually it's a parse error in the XML under js. Try a non encrypted XML first.

any errors in the viewer?
you haven't encrypted the tiles, or? (encrypted images are not possible to load in HTML5)
and are <mobile> and/or <tablet> images defined in the xml?
best regards,
Klaus
Thanks everybody for your answers.
I have been working back and forth and suddently it is working. It seems like sacha was right. I think it was a parce error in the xml file. Thanks for the tip! Sorry to have bothered you for such a misstake !
Just one more thing. I would like to be clear. The only way to protect a virtual tour that still has to work on idevices is to encrypt the xml file, right ? Or are there other ways ?
Thanks again everybody !
