Youtube video in pano as a hotspot

  • Hi pals.

And I continue playing with my scripts.

This time I bring you this:

A YouTube video inside a pano as a hotspot:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoMe6_mIwic

Note: The video displayed is the last one, showing tweets inside a pano.
It seems slow due to the software used to record the screen consumes too many resources and that I am on a notebook with a small ram memory.
    In true it runs normally.

    U like it?

And I could keep going putting any other html stuff inside a pano *g* just for fun.

But being serious, it opens endless posibilities.

    Best regards,
    Ciul.

    Hi Dr. Schneckem.

It is not done via xml, it would not be possible with the actual HTML+CSS limitations of the Textfield plugin.

It is done via Javascript, and requires programmation skills to do that.

I may try to parse the xml files so there could be some way for krpano users to implement it via xml, but it has been a lot of work and well, I'll may ask for donations (at least) or it could be implemented as a user plugin (paid), since it has been a lot of work and creativity to find workarounds between flash and javascript issues.

It is capable of embed any HTML code, not only youtube videos.

    Best regards,
    Ciul.

No worries for me, I would pay for such a plugin.

  • Hi pals

    Thanks for your messages.

I've already advanced as I can, well, we are in party days right? so hehe, it's party time more than coding LOL

one ofthe hardest thing is make it compatible with Internet Explorer, since IE ir a renegade and well, it has it's own ways to do things, so for most things I have to find a workaround that works on all browsers or at least consider alternative functions just for IE... testing on Firefox, Google Chrome and IE, and a few times I test on Safari by changin user agent to mobiles [ipod-ipad-iphone]

so...to resume, IE gives headaches but it will worth them, right? *thumbsup*

    Best regards,
    Ciul.

  • Hi,

I need this option because I one of my client needs it. I am willing to pay for that javascript and some information on hot to implement it.

Can you send your email? Do you have a Skype account?

  • Hi guys.

I got you good news about this.

As some of you has noted, I released MooKrpano as Open Source code so anyone can enjoy it. http://www.github.com/ciul/mookrpano

I've just updated this repository with a new Class: VirtualHotspot

A virtual hotspot is a HTML element overlayed on the Krpano HTML element, which uses onViewChange Krpano event to update it's screen position depeding the ath and atv options you assing to it.

So you can not only display Youtube Videos but any other HTML content you wish as if it was a Krpano Hotspot.

    Best regards,
    Ciul

  • Your link seems to be dead. I would like very much to access the sample(s) you put. (I'd like to add a html (images + text) hotspot to a pano)

    Thank you in advance

Hi Olivier, in fact, I've removed these examples links time ago but you can see a video I recorded from my screen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xi6FY…AZxdTw&index=13

You can add Html, images and text in native krpano, with the textfield plugin. The approach here was to make possible embed html code no supported by that plugin *smile* always going a little more far than known limits

    Regards,
    Ciul

  • Hi Ciul,

How you Plug-in development so far? Is it avalabel commercialy?

I use Krpano version 1.16.3 to create Virtual by using MAKE VTOUR (NORMAL) droplet.bat .
    http://www.songcharoen.com/snakefarm/snakefarm100/tour.html
The problem is I can not use the same code to embed the mp4 movie into my virtual as usual.
This one I created manually without used of droplet, I can embed video without any problem.
    http://www.songcharoen.com/museumsiam7/

My questions are, if I used the MAKE VTOUR (NORMAL) droplet.bat How I embed mp4 video into my tour?
    1. How to place video hot spot style on the VTOUR?
    2. How to place video like box style on the VTOUR?
    3. Is it possible to place Youtube video over the
    pano?

Seem you plug in could be solution for it?
