Hello,
I am simply here to ask for help on how to set up a panoramic with video. As shown here...https://krpano.com/video/
If possible it would be great if someone can go through a simple rundown of what to do.
Thanks for you time!

Hi,
do you mean how to make a panoramic video or how to show it?
best regards,
Klaus
My apologies for not clarifying,
I would like to know how to show it.
Hi,
I have updated the video page now (the download link was not up to date)
go on the page and download this special version of the krpano viewer,
and replace in the xml file the path to the video file, that's all
best regards,
Klaus
Wow, thank you very much Klaus!
hello,
the flv video is very good, but I want to make a cylindrical video . what is the code for krpano?
and I want to load an another pano when the video is finish
best regards,
Hi,
cylindrical videos are not supported in this version, but partial spherical videos are,
if the vertical angle is not very wide, the difference between cylindrical and spherical will not be very high,
just try the cylindrical video, normally the format should be detected automatically,
if not set the "hfov" and "vfov" values for the video manually,
e.g.
a other pano/video can be loaded on the "video.oncomplete" event,
e.g.
NOTE - this video version is a test version! - the final version can have a different syntax!
best regards,
Klaus
hi,
Thank you for your answer,
The video in cylinder works well.
I would like to keep the horizontal movement and to delete the vertical movement which does not serve any more.
Which is the order which deactivates the mouse in vertical mode?
Best regards,
Hi,
one method would be:
this disables only the vertical movement,
but this would be maybe better:
this limits the view automatically to the available area,
would be better when doing also zooming
see also here: (but note - this is not completely correct for this special version)

I would like to know how to make it.
I think that every frame must be joined from all three or four movie cameras.
But I can not image what should be the procedure when I have 4 video streams coded with a video codec and I need to stitch every sychronized frame from 4 sources.
I am right?
Hi Tuur,
you can do it for 500 dollars.
See here:

I am pretty sure that you do not need to spend 14.000,-

I have just seen this http://paradizo.com/tv/# maybe someone could create a video like this inside the tour as a splash page or something else
The viewer is very impressive, congratulations.
I have had trouble getting higher resolution video panos to work with the player. i.e. 4kx2k . Can I use cubic input projections with video? would this work any better? I am less conserned with streaming than with a quality playback
Hi,
currently the videosize is limited by the internal Flash bitmap size,
in Flash 9 2880x2880, in Flash 10 up to 8191x2048,
here a quote from the adobe
QuoteIn AIR 1.5 and Flash Player 10, the maximum size for a BitmapData object is 8,191 pixels in width or height, and the total number of pixels cannot exceed 16,777,215 pixels. (So, if a BitmapData object is 8,191 pixels wide, it can only be 2,048 pixels high.) In Flash Player 9 and earlier and AIR 1.1 and earlier, the limitation is 2,880 pixels in height and 2,880 in width.
but it should be possible to overcome this limits, but I'm not sure if the flashplayer could
play/decode such large videos
do you have short examples of such high resolution videos?
cubical faces for videos would be possible too,
but this will come later (the video support is planned for 1.0.9 release)
best regards,
Klaus

it is very expensive.... but then this one guy hv DIY the whole concept (i believe) since 2004 ... this is his webblog how he do it...
http://www.vrhotwires.com/InexpensivePanoramicVideo.html
but then when in 2008 early this year he got a job from Malaysia he bought that PTGrey thingy...
cheers..

So with cubical face support you could have each cube face be a video of 4096x4096 pixels Flash video. But as you say, a panorama with 6 video streams at 4k x 4k rez would probably take a heavy performance penalty in terms of framerate and smoothness of panning etc.
I assume you are thinking of a high rez CG videopano Greg since capturing a live action panorama of this resolution (unless it is timelapse or some other non-realtime capture of reality) would be rather difficult?
Cheers,
Kim

I can supply you a test video in that size, I have been running some tests with it myself or well just started, I have however run into a little problem in that regard. I use Premiere and Media Encoder. I am not able to export any bigger video then 1920x1080 if I use the FLV format, other similar formats have limitations as well. I am rendering out a 1920x960 video right now to test out. I am more then willing to send any material to you for testing. I have tried with 720p video and its a complete computer killer.
Any suggestions on video format that KrPano can read and supports these kind of resolutions?
Is it somehow possible to use the stereographic="true" in this video featured KrPano?
This is my first own krpano videopanorama
Check it!

A bit ugly, but my....
I make with a nikon d90 (camera function) and a sigma 4.5 fisheye, from 3 pictures.
