Embedding on facebook.com

  • btw, have to say: Amazing HDR pano of the restaurant, how could you take HDR when there was that amount of people? I mean this: http://www.virtualtuur.com/iphone/klasb1b/

    Are you sure that your domain is white listed? I tried posting your URL to my FB page and it didn't worked. But I posted this: http://www.panoraamakuvat.fi/testing/tuur/ (just copy pasted a few files from your site but not the images) and it shows me the video click button ok. So I'd guess the white listing, check that.

  • well it's not hdr *wink* imade just my pano and the windows i did also shoot with other settings... i brushed them in just a little..
    The picture is rendered as 16 bit tif that gives the possibility of tonemapping in photomatix... that i 'over do' and that picture i put over the original with just like 20 % fill..
    et voila.. fake hdr.. you are the thirt one that asks..;-)

    should i place it as an video then?

    gonna try that quick... but i think that didn't work.. so i do it as an link.. maybe there it goes wrong.. *wink*

    I re-requested a white list..

    Cheers
    Tuur

  • ahh when i put your link there it works perfect.. it must be the whitelist..

    so ... have to wait a few days..

    Thanx a lot!!

    Tuur *thumbsup*

    Just a thought for everyone. Used the droplet for tiled swf. Image size changed to 320x450. Deleted all the css in the html. The only other change was the file path is slightly shorter. Guess it's time to refine it now.

  • I made the request of a white list and got this response from Facebook: ;(

    "Hi,

    At this time, Facebook does not allow embedded video content from non-trusted hosting sites. Your site cannot be considered a trusting hosted site because the domain URL you provided does not link to a functioning website. We encourage you to resubmit your site when this issue has been corrected.

    You will still be able to post your video to your profile, or share it with your friends by sending it in a message. This will only be a link with a preview though; your video will not play embedded in the Facebook page. This is our policy for security reasons and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    Thanks,
    Facebook Platform Developer Relations"

    What is this? Can I in any way to display the panorama on Facebook? Please help. Thank you! *mellow*

  • I still caqn't figure it out.

    I created a Business Page with the login information of my personal Facebook account.

    Then on my business page I see on the left:

    -Edit page
    -Promote with advert
    -Add to my page's favorites
    -Write something about [comapny name]

    Then on the bottom
    -Create a page for my business.

    When I click the bottom, I can choose between Artis,business, product (on the left) and community page (on the right). I tried all of m, and they all create a same kind of page my business page is. Can't find a place to put in some html. And can't find a way to add tabs in my business' page.

    Can someone help me?

  • Edit* Had to relog to see "ads and pages"

    Creating a Tab:
    Account- > Manage Pages -> Click your Business page -> all the way down Applications -> FBML -> Add To My page

    Now you have a tab called boxes. You can edit this in your application settings.

    Now how to figure out how to get html in there.

    *Edit*

    Found the place where to add the html.
    Edit Page - > FBML -> Edit

    Now to make it work ;p I've added my domain on the save list last week. Hopefully it's linked to this page alsoo.

    *edit*

    Jeej! Got it working now!

    Code
    <head>
    <fb:swf swfbgcolor="000000" imgstyle="border-width:3px; border-color:white;"
    swfsrc='http://www.talentstoolkit.com/pano/via/krpano.swf?license=http://www.talentstoolkit.com/pano/via/assets/license.gif&pano=http://www.talentstoolkit.com/pano/via/bolfoto/photo_1_0.xml&'
    imgsrc='http://www.talentstoolkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/map_0-1024x234.jpg' width='1024' height='768' />
    </head>

    I had to add the comple url in my parameters each time, to be able to link to my license and specific xml. This required no editing of the tour or html.

    How to attach a link to a licence file? I can tell that it's linked to "licence.gif" and I can't understand, why is it being that way. After loading that code on FBML, krpano website opens up *confused*

    EDIT: I change "license.gif" on "krpano.license" and now i have xml error reading *huh* .

  • Hi, Thanx for answer!

    I can add simple swf at the FBML but not a virtual tour with many xml. Facebook already has accepted my application for "white list". At that point I got an error - error loading (Security Error). Xml files that are correct and all paths as well. Perhaps this error is associated with crossdomain.xml? *confused* Is this file "crossdomain.xml" is to be located in the root domain or a subdirectory where the files are a panorama?

    Thanx for help *thumbup*

  • I don't have any crossdomain policies. I have no clue why it doesnt work for you.

    I link to krpano.swf with the licence and first panorama as a parameter. In this panorama I load several included xml files with relative pathing (include/settings.xml, include/blabla.xml etc). when I click on a panorama I basicly do a loadpano(photo_1_2.xml, etc) All relative.

    It's basicly an unmodified tour, like you create 100's of. Only thing I do to make it work on facebook is that lil piece of code and whitelist the domain, nothing more. Note: I dont use krprotect or embed stuff.
