Citadel of Lille - NATO/OTAN

  • Hi all,

Here is one of the latest virtual tours that I just put online: The Citadel of Lille.
The Citadel of Lille is a historical monument of great importance in Lille, but for the visit, it normally takes to be patient and to show their credentials. Indeed, Citadel houses, since 2005, the headquarters of the Rapid Reaction Corps France, which has the ability to conduct operational commitments on a theater of operations as part of a NATO mandate, the European Union or national mandate ... Suffice to say that one does not enter as a mill!

For the technique, this virtual tour includes a little more than 30 panoramic 360 °, several views up to 7 meters high.
The photos are taken with a Panasonic Lumix GH3 with a fisheye Olympus Zuiko 8mm (4/3 with ring μ4/3) mounted on a head Nodal Ninja 5. Most shots are bracketing to -3 +3, treated with exposure fusion (LrEnfuse). Finally, the whole is assembled with Autopano then cheerfully encoded KrPano.

The tour is in French and English, with about 50 points of historical information and current functions.
As you can see, the local weather was true to itself, it's gray ... But the logistics for such a visit does not leave much room for maneuver.

    Good visit *squint*

  • Great Work indeed. Really liked the concept of using an aerial view and moving down to the entrance. Fantastic effect. Would be great if you can explain how thi is done.
