Hi Tuur,
I am new to KR Pano too and am yet to produce my first tour but I'd just like to say that I think your first tour is brilliant. Nice hotspots and especially like the bar food menu hotspot. I think it might have been better to show the menu inside the pano rather than opening another browser, but thats just my opinion.
Great photography too, I love the lighting in the place, it looks warm and inviting.
I look foward to seeing more!

Thanx T12,
i work also 2 days in this place, vry nice monumental from 1780 old majors house (lucky B....)
yeah i was just trying to go with this googlemaps popup thing for the card, but the text gets small and i'm not shure if i can stream it from web url..
a lot of work to do. it takes me 3 full days for every room. i think that's to long...
so 8mm (?)
cheers

Hi Tuur,
I can't comment on the lens or the camera. I use Nikon, I've got a D80 and have made panos with my Sigma 10-20 mostly at 10mm. For high resolution panos I use my Nikon 50mm prime. There are obvious benefits in using an 8mm fisheye; fewer shots, better for moving objects, busy places etc.
I'd love to get one myself so I can do those kind of panos too. Can't afford one at the moment though.
Maybe someone could else could offer you better advice on the 8mm?
Thanks.

yo people,
i've been asking around and the sigma 8mm is nice for the quick ones but you lose a lot of resolution.
Most of them say that you better take a view pics more with a better lens.
i just get myself this canon 50d and a 10 -22mm lens.. 17/85 and i can use my 28/300 now aswell
nodal ninja is comming monday (?)
can't wait to get started.
( some problems with ptgui yet (takes me to long)
Cheers

Hi Tuur,
congrats on your purchases. I can strongly recommend the Nodal Ninja. I've had mine for 3 weeks and once I'd worked out the entrance pupil for my Sigma 10-20 and Nikon 50mm it is easy to get great panos. I purchased the NN3 with the RD12 rotator which makes things even easier. I would rate the Nodal Ninja as one of the best value products I've ever bought. The build quality is first rate, especially considering the price.
I had some problems with PT Gui on my first few attempts and I was convinced I'd made some basic mistakes because it couldn't be this difficult. There are two things to check if you are finding that you are having to add too many control points yourself:
One thing to note: The Nodal Ninja I received has an improved quick release plate over some earlier NN3 models and as such the camera/lens settings on the NN site are not accurate on the lower rail. The QR plate adds an extra 9mm.
I hope some of this helps.
Cheers.

thanx T 12, this is what i need. some data and the feeling that it can be done quicker.
I am working 4 days on 1 pano, 2 to go for this tour. ( without pano head). i hope it will go in 1 hour when i do it right. then i feel business coming.
a lot of people already start asking...
:P
cheers, going to bed. little bit flue..

Klaus is the MASTER.
You should be able to get a very high quality 360 panoramic with the Sigma 8mm lens and the Nodal Ninja. I became better at stitching because I did not know that you need to remove the cylinder in addition to the lens cap. (John Houghton tactfully pointed that out to me which was a big help) There will be a gold ring that you can use to align the external nodal point. You should take 6 photos around with one photo down and one photo up. If you are having problems in ptgui, you can click on the advanced button and go to the image parameter tab. Here you can enter the aproximate yaw and pitch values. Also, the new ptgui can do HDR fusion very well. I will post an example tour with two images that use this and were shot with a Sigma 10mm lens. Also the new Autopano giga is much faster and will contain a tool for creating krpano tours. You can download a smartblend plugin for ptgui as well.
Sigma 8 or 10 mm
remove the lens barrel in addition to the lens cap reveiling the gold line
6 around yaw {0,60,120,180,-120,-60} pitch is zero degrees
1 up at yaw of zero and pitch of +90 degrees
1 down at yaw of zero and pitch of -90 degrees
You can take a patch shot from the side or hand held. It takes some effort to become better at this
Great place !
A 5D with tokina 10-17 at 10mm for low-definition or EF 15mm canon for a better definition...
If you are patient and got money the 5D Mk II will increase definition at 10mm
;)
thanx Sage david,
i got my self this canon 50 D with a 10 - 22 mm mmmmmm
the 5D was a little over budget for now.
Just had my Pano workshop today, and now i can make a pano quick. (not 4 days of stiching and photoshop
Thanx
Tuur
