Hi,

no, that's not possible,
the flash internal html renderer, which is used in the textfield plugin supports only
a small subset of html, and no html objects like quicktime video

have a look here:
http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/

best regards,
Klaus

Hi,

this was made with Flash,
if you have Flash CS3 or the free Flex SDK and some programming knowledge you can do that too

but the 1.0.9 version will have integrated video players,
then this can be done in xml

best regards,
Klaus

I´ve imported a .flv Video in my Stage in Flash CS3 and then it shows me the window, where I can choose the player-style.
This I´ve exported as swf and then I placed this swf as a plugin in krpano.
When I open the Panorama then I see the video playing in my pano window and I also can press "play", "pause" etc.
I hat no problems with integrating a Video in krpano! *thumbsup*

sorry, i can´t show you an example, because I don´t have a licence of krpano.

But here is the (small) code: ;-)

Quoted

<plugin name="video"
url="videos/video1.swf"
align="rightbottom" x="10" y="10"
/>

Start the panorama and see your video inside the panorama ;-)

I threw in a sample SWF video and it's working great! The only thing I noticed was the framerate dropped significantly compared to no video. Even after the video stops playing or if you hid it (ex: set(plugin[video].visible,false); ) the frame rate still suffers. Any work arounds ? Klaus ?

Hi, I don't know what videoplayer you used, maybe it changes the framerate of the stage, or it continues rendering after it was stopped,
you can try to remove the video plugin completey with:

Source code

1
removeplugin(video);

maybe this works...

best regards,
Klaus

Yeah, I tried the following to remove the video and reset the FPS to 60 as well:

Source code

1
2
removeplugin(video);
set(display.fps,60);

...doesn't seem to work, maybe removeplugin is not implemented yet in 1.0.8 Beta4 ?

Hi,

removeplugin() should work since the 1.0.7 version,
but it only removes the plugin from the "stage" (~screen),
it can't stop any videos/timers/events that were started in the plugin,
this must be done by the plugin/app itself,

which flash videoplayer do you use, or do you have a example?

best regards,
Klaus

Hi,

a nice solution!
I didn't know that:

Source code

1
<img src="ski2.swf" width="400" height="300"/>

would also work in a textfield
