Add buttons on flat panorama ?

Hi all,

sorry if my question seems stupid but I'm a newbe here.
So I'm looking for a way to add buttons on the viewer.

I've created a high res. flat mosaic panorama with "Make multires flat pano.bat" from the 1.0.8b7 tools and I don't know how to modify the XML generated file to add buttons.
Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Here's my XML file :

------------------------------------------------------------------------

<krpano version="1.0.8">
<!-- kmakemultires flat.xml template -->

<view hlookat="0" vlookat="0" fov="90" maxpixelzoom="1.2" />

<preview type="CYLINDER" url="pano30.tiles/preview.jpg" />

<image type="CYLINDER" hfov="1.00" multires="true" tilesize="529">
<level tiledimagewidth="13226" tiledimageheight="3000">
<cylinder url="pano30.tiles/l3_%0v_%0h.jpg" />
</level>
<level tiledimagewidth="6613" tiledimageheight="1500">
<cylinder url="pano30.tiles/l2_%0v_%0h.jpg" />
</level>
<level tiledimagewidth="3307" tiledimageheight="750">
<cylinder url="pano30.tiles/l1_%0v_%0h.jpg" />
</level>
</image>

</krpano>

Krpano does have a learning curve but as you deal with the program it gets easier each time. In the download of beta 1.0.8b7, there is an examples folder. In this folder is a section for buttons. It includes all of the code that must be put in an xml. Also, there is a wonderful plugin called camera controls that can be added if you want it. http://www.krpano.com/plugins/userplugins/cameracontrols/

After you get the basics of learning how to implement plugins, you can start tweaking them until you make them your own, changing a few settings at a time until you feel confident enough to create your own. I am still in the tweaking process, but getting better everyday. Also, if you read through this forum, many helpful ideas have been shared here.

Thank you Jarredja. I spent 2 days reading the site and forum and was a bit confuse.

I've tried the Cameracontrols plugin but unfortunately the zoom control doesn't work, only the arrays work. Hmmm, I wonder if it's not a problem with flat panorama...
But I've made it with the classical buttons from 360° pano, and it works !
So now I can say that I've made a big step ahead since my yesterday's post !!!

Cheers,

G

I tried the camera plugin on my flat pano and the zoom does not work for me either. It works great with a spherical pano.

Ok, everything works great local and now I'm testing it online and I came across something weird.
I uploaded each needed folders and files of a small panorama on 2 different servers and it works only here :
http://tinyurl.com/qpnws6

On the other server look what happens :
http://tinyurl.com/q4fbkx

Panorama never loads and I've got this text coming out :

---------------------------------------------------------

What do you think ?
Strange isn't it ?

The preview picture is not downloading. Maybe that picture did not get uploaded correctly. The program puts the real tiles over the preview. Maybe that is what is causing the decoding problem.

**edit**

On my test page, my picture still loads without the preview. Sorry, no help.

Thanks for testing.
I upload preview.jpg again and again but still doesn't work.
I browsed into the forum (not all yet) and didn't find any topic about it
Maybe I should open a new topic ?
