Hi Steph,

When you call the playvideo() action outside the videoplayer plugin itself, you have to specify the "root" to the plugin...
In your case: hotspot[videospot2].playvideo()

Source code

10
onclick="lookto(214.92,-13.25,11,linear(65)); hotspot[videospot2].playvideo(%SWFPATH%/video/doc.flv);"

Klaus are you there? Videoplayer download monitoring of some sort and seek is desperately needed. I only purchased a KRpano licensed just for presenting 360 interactive video but my project is currently on hold because these key features are not available.

Aoheben, what is the donation amount required for your videoplayer plugin that displays amount download and seek?

Thanks

So here's the thing. Someone paid me EUR 300 to develop this for him. I don't think it is fair if I start giving away the same thing for substantially less.
So I am sorry I got your hopes up, I don't think I can help.

Hi Aldo,
The data I was talking about is bytesLoaded and bytesTotal.
So, it seems they are there also *smile* ... But with different names: totalbytes and loadedbytes ...

So, it is possible to make an progress bar, using XML... Probably it should be better to do it from AS3 for performance but it can be done from XML...

I have made a try (not an easy thing *whistling* )... It is not finished and surely it can be enhanced substantially but here it is: Video_test

See, this is why I love forums. Whenever there is a challenge, there is always someone who will step up!

I would actually be fine with just this! I am away at the moment but will jump back in later tomorrow! if you could post your code that would be amazing!

Hi all,

Just a note as this can not be evident at first *rolleyes* : you can seek a point of the video by clicking inside the progress bar (The seek button itself is not functional at this moment).

if you could post your code that would be amazing!
By clicking on the editor button, you can see the code....

Hi all,

The seek button of the progress bar is now functional...
At this point, the progress bar is working almost correctly, but it could be enhanced *rolleyes* ...

Thanks. I see in the .xml there is a "time_bar" plugin...where can I find this plugin?

BBomber,

It is not so much of a plugin as a work of art by Michel. There are multiple plugins in that file that all work together to generate the progress bar. It is not a .swf file like you may be accustommed to. It is seems to be xml driven with a few images to make the colors, probably not larger than 10 X 10 pixel images.

I wish I had 1/10 the skills of Michel. Awesome work!!!

Hi Jarredja,

Quoted

I wish I had 1/10 the skills of Michel. Awesome work!!!
Thanks for kind words ;-) , but you would be right if you had said: I wish I had 1/10 of the stubbornness of Michel *g* ... Trust me, the code for now is a bit messy, at least... (The code itself is mainly based on the slider example from KLAUS)
But it's the demonstration that some kind of progress bar can be done from XML.
Anyway, surely it would be more adequate of make it from AS3.

Hi BBomber,

I have tried an 360 video using the last krpano 1.0.8.14 and videoplayer (build 2011-04-04) (the same used for the try of an progress bar code) and the 360 video has worked...
So, surely the code can be adapted for this particular purpose...

Thanks Michel, I'll give this a try. Is it possible you post your 360 video example?
